A while ago, Aaron removed automatic filename extensions from unix
builds. This essentially reverts that change, but it gives people like
aaron an option now.

Added option 'UseSuffix' to use filename extensions. However, the
default is to *use* the extensions. This is consistent, what is expected
by users, and often useful. Just because MS uses them does not make them
useless.
