Whatthis means is that AbiWord thinks that the extension and file type of
that file do not agree. Does the file you are trying to open have a .doc
extension? If it doesn't, try changing the extension. I realize that
this a problem, but its something we have to do until we can detect file
type without extension. You also need to select Word Document in the open
file box. If you have done this, and it still won't open, let me know.
