i tried this also, on word 2000 (not mine), with no success. the help
files don't mention it either.

Will putting "overline" tags in an RTF file

the \ol tag doesn't break the word rtf importer (at least not in word
2000) it simply ignores it, and when it exports to rtf again, deletes it.
have yet to test word perfect.

it would seem so, although we have made our changes open. if we really
intend to do this, we should let others know, so that we continue to have
rtf as a truly open standard
