        This should definiteley be fixed. As I mentioned in my earlier
post, I fixed a fake file type bug (read bugzilla # 682 for more info)
that had to do with png format images. fortunately, all png images begin
with the same 4 bytes. this sort of idea is also true of gifs and jpegs,
and also of many other file types. i believe that ms word is among these,
and therefore our detection should be based on the file, and not the
extension.
