It could, but then you couldn't open any Word documents. :) We require
specific snapshots of wv at this time because we require features not
found in many releases of wv. For many months, wv and AbiWord were enhanced
in the same places to read new things from Word documents. I have not
verified that one of Caolan's official releases is new enough to support
the API we need. Perhaps if there is such a release, we should consider
requiring it, instead of making our own snapshots.
