There is most likely bug #684.

Justin has fixed this since the 0.7.7 release. I still need to beat on
this a bit to make sure all the cases have been gotten, but from what I
have done so far, the fix looks great. Therefore, there is an extremely
high probability that AbiWord 0.7.8 will take care of this.
