Doh.
Yet another accidental commit put in my code to enable profiling.
Fortunately, the code was ready (or as ready as I can get it).
It's an ugly hack, but it works. If you do
`make ABI_OPT_PROF=1`
you will compile a version with no debugging, but with profiling. (It
steps on debugging options.)
People with clues may want to clean up my makefile hackery. (please :-)
