I sift through all the spam, er, I mean bounced mail because about 1 in 3
is real. Here was a recent one that I thought everyone might enjoy.

Nancy, thank you for the kind words. From the 100 AbiWord contributors, we
sincerely thank you for your kind words.

Subject: Suggestion

HI I just downloaded your word processor and am tickled to death that I =
can use something besides MS Office (Word).
I just got off phone to Microsoft (a wasted $35.00) with no luck at =
trying to delete a corrupted MS Office file. Now I will have to =
reformat my hard drive to get rid of it, unless my husband can get the =
file from the 98 disk. I know I will definitely not put MS Word on my =
computer when it is reloaded, since I don't want database/remote access =
capabilities for some hacker to exploit, as I suspect has happened. =20

I would like to see you incorporate an indexing ability in your =
software. I used to use Ami Pro and could type up an index and it would =
automatically sort the info into alphabetical order. The new software =
(Office and AmiPro) have all become too complex for me. I just want =
something simple and basic. I am working on a cookbook project and =
would like to be able to type up an index for all my recipes and have =
the word processor alphabetize my list and edit it with future =
additions. =20

Thanks for making this software available for download. So far I like =
what I see very much!
