Notes:
1. Don't forget to cvs update both the wv and abi trees.
2. Likewise, a "make realclean" is highly recommended.
3. This is Jamie's patch, plus the trivial one-line fix for Win32. Any
breakage of the Be builds should be glaringly obvious on Tinderbox.
