Crashes on startup

I just got version 0.7.11, installation was fine. Upon startup I see the
splash screen, then my cursor places the window, then it crashes, and I
see this:

Please someone respond if they know what is wrong with AbiWord. I am not
an experienced developer so I'm not sure what to do.
