I did make bidi_dbg (I didn't see a non-bidi dbg target) as myself, then make
install as root. It started recompiling stuff with dbg turned off. What's the
proper way to do this? I don't make as root because abi is in my home
directory, and I don't want any root-owned files in my home directory.
