Subject: compilation brokenness with pspell

When I try to compile statically I get the following error message:
/usr/lib/libpspell.a(manager_impl.o): In function

`pspell_manager_funs_size'
manager_impl.o(.text+0x9c): undefined reference to `pspell_manager_funs'
manager_impl.o(.text+0xb6): undefined reference to
`pspell_manager_funs_size'
manager_impl.o(.text+0x30b): undefined reference to `pspell_manager_funs'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
This is with ABI_OPT_PSPELL on.
Is it a broken pspell or is it broken abiword code?
