Hello all,
I have been following this question for the past few days, and
thought I'd give my opinion (since I haven't had time to aid in
development this is from me as a user).

I agree with the above. That is, the 1st time I used abiword, when
I closed the last open document, I did not expect the whole program
to exit (this is probably just because I am used to MDI applications).
Personally I like the above idea of opening a blank document if you
select close and no other documents are open. I think close should
just close the document, not close the document and exit the program.
[Although, I would rather no changes be made (after all, I'm used to
the current behavior now, it only takes 1 time making that mistake)
than doing weird stuff like removing/greying menu options, or adding
dialogs or other odd menu choices (close & open / close & new)].

Please, noone take these comments personally if you prefer different
approaches, just giving my opinion as a user.

Abiword is a great program, and has advanced significantly since I
first started using it. Keep up the great work.

Thank you,
Jeremy Davis
