        Natively, sure - all Postscript Level 2 and above printers.
PS Level 2 introduced support for "native TTF" using something called
a Type 42 font (which is really a TTF wrapped in a special way for
PS).

        I haven't looked at our PS generator, but it would seem easy
to only call the "font exporter" once.

        I don't know what an XLFD is - I assume it's some funky X
hack. However, FT fully handles CJK TTF's without the need for any
extra information.
