Sam,

This is a big problem. If we can't have faith in the system, it won't
be used. I for one have stopped using BZ because I've spent so much
time on it which has apparently just gone down the drain. I don't like
that... [no, I'm not blaiming you :) Just want you to put this at the
very top of your list! ]

Could it have had anything to do with the full disk the other day?

Here's my bugcount log:

2001.04.24 13 ( -13%) 59 ( -13%) 225 ( +0%)
2001.04.25 17 ( +30%) 54 ( -8%) 225 ( +0%)
2001.04.26 20 ( +17%) 55 ( +1%) 230 ( +2%)
2001.04.27 23 ( +15%) 58 ( +5%) 228 ( +0%)
2001.04.28 16 ( -30%) 59 ( +1%) 231 ( +1%)
2001.04.29 13 ( -18%) 35 ( -40%) 292 ( +26%)
2001.04.30 17 ( +30%) 39 ( +11%) 284 ( -2%)
2001.05.01 21 ( +23%) 46 ( +17%) 292 ( +2%)

Note the jump on the 29th. That's when I started seeing closed bugs
reappear as open, and comments go missing.

Do you run backup of the system? If not, I'd suggest doing a DB dump
nightly. Of course, if the problem is disk space, that's not going to
improve matters any. Do we need to ask Sourcegear for more diskspace,
or move some of the services to SF?

Finally, may it be worth updating to the release version of 2.12?

Jesper
