excited as I am with the idea of having perl enabled binaries, I would
bet (but I've not tested it) that this binary _don't_ install correctly
an AbiWord with perl enabled.

To go directly to the point, I guess that it will install correctly the
AbiWord binary that will be able to execute perl scripts, but it doesn't
install correctly the xs bindings.

So a user of this binary will just be able to execute perl scripts (just
as well as he will execute them with the /usr/bin/perl executable), and
that's not terribly useful... until you install the abiword bindings
(that accounts for ~60kb), and to do that you need to go to
src/bindings/perl and execute perl Makefile.PL && make && make install,
so anyway you still need the source.

A pity, and the installation of the xs bindings should be added to the
normal installation process, but it has not yet been done.
