Ah I see the problem. The ev_* implementation stuff is down in the
platfrom layers. Yes I remember something like this.
One solution which may not break the existing code too much might to have
a set of virtual functions in XAP_Frame or AP_Frame to manipulate the
platform code.
Is this what you're thinking of?
