Hi Pierre,
We haven't been able to work out how to compile Abi with the
Mandrake 8.0 distribution because it's wierd iconv issues.

Mandrake 8.0 has all sorts of issues as a development platform. It
basically sucks rocks. Things like lack of generic libraries. eg.
there is no zlib.so. There is a zlib.so.51

On the other hand the Mandrake people have been great at getting the
latest versions of Abi integrated with their distro so I'm inclined to not
worry about getting abi to compile under it.

On the other hand if you can workout how to tweak things to get Abi to
compile under Mandrake 8.0 I'm sure we'd look closely at the patch :-)

Cheers

Martin
