platform support for Unicode fonts

    Could people on other platforms take a look at the world.abw test document
    that I just added to the source tree?

    I'm seeing *great* results on Windows -- more on this in a minute -- and
    given all the fuss currently going on about how to support very complex
    scripts (Pango, FreeType, et al), I'm very curious to see whether folks on
    other platforms are having as good an experience.
