I have created the version resource for win32 and made necessary
changes to abi_defs.mk and win32.mk. Someowne needs to modify
the MSVC project files so that ABI_BUILD_VERSION_MAJOR
/MINOR/MICRO are difined to the three parts of the version number,
i.e, 1,1,0 (un-quoted) and ABI_BUILD_VERSION is defined to the
complete quoted string, i.e, "1.1.0".

files: abi_defs.mk, win32.mk, ap_Win32Res_Version.rc2,
ap_Win32Resources.rc2

These changes should be backported.
