Problems compiling from cvs

    I have checked out cvs over the the last week and I keep coming across
    the following problem
    my make bombs with the output at the end of this message

    What does seem bizarre is that the file is referenced to a xp directory,
    I may be reading it wrong but to my feeble mind indicates a source dir
    wit respect to win xp

    Anyway my system is
    RH 7.3
    Gnome2 in /usr/local/gnome (gnome 1.4 libs +devel installed in .usr,
    /var etc

    libiconv-1.7 also in /usr/local/gnome
    ditto libxml2
    fresh wv installed in /usr/local/gnome

    configure line is

    CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/gnome/include ./configure
    --prefix=/usr/local/gnome --sysconfdir=/usr/local/gnome/etc
    --localstatedir=/usr/local/gnome/var --disable-debug --with-libxml2
    --with-sys-wv

    problem is
