    should fix some of the recent failure-on-start-up bugs we've hit recently

    o ensure that the thread system is initialized on UNIX-BE platforms (inc.
      Cocoa); a static variable of type class UT_Mutex was preempting any/all
      application calls to g_thread_init()
    o Cocoa: [$HOME]/Library/Application Support/AbiSuite[/Plug-ins] directory
      creation
    o ResourceManager fixes
