    Hi Marc,
            What exactly have you here? Transperant background means that no
    colours are printed on paper. Transperent background is the default for
    AbiWord and is what is used in more than 99% of documents.

    If a user sets a background colour they have to be able to remove it.

    I hope I've misunderstood something...
