Subject: [Cooker] 8.2beta3: mozilla/plugger/abiword problems
Date: 27 Feb 2002 01:21:50 -0500
On an 8.2 beta3 install, when clicking on a link that points to a microsoft
word document (.doc) in mozilla, I get a beige screen and on the bottom of
the browser, right to the right of the little navigator, mail, composer etc
buttons, it says "Running helper". Nothing ever happens, abiword never
comes up. Looking at the output of ps ax, it seems that plugger is
launching abiword 4 times, then killing those processes, trying to run it
again, eventually it runs 4 times, etc. Running ps ax|tail twice in a row
shows this:
$ ps ax |tail
