This is a problem, which tells me Dr. Rupa Kumar Kolli
<kolli@tropmet.res.in>

-------------------------------------
I have recently installed AbiWord on my HP workstation running HP-UX 11.00,
from the binaries prepared by Martin Gansser
(http://cloud.prohosting.com/patos/download/abiword-0.99.1-sa-10.20.depot.gz
). It works fine, but when AbiWord is launched, I get the warning that
AbiWord was unable to add its fonts to the X font path (Please note that I
have already configured my xfs using the script provided for hpux). Also I
keep getting the message 'Gtk-WARNING **: invalid cast from `GtkButton' to
`GtkCombo'' repeatedly in the terminal window from which AbiWord was
launched. Despite these warnings, AbiWord launches okay, and the
display/fonts on the monitor look quite fine. However, I get a problem with
printing, which I am unable to figure out. The problem is that all the
'space' characters I type with space bar appear as degree symbols (a small
superscripted circle) in the print-output. This happens even when I print
to a ps file and view it with ghostview. Can anyone suggest a way out of
this problem for me ?

With best regards,
Kumar...:)
