Jordi and I are collaborating on some sneaky stuff.
Phase 1: Move ispell dictionary list to an external file. This external
file lives in abidistfiles and is called "ispell_dictionary_list.xml"
The syntax is basically:
<dictionary tag="en-US" name="american.hash" encoding="iso-8859-1" />
This also means that our users can add more languages, swap dictionary
names, encodings, etc... without recompiling the source. Hooray for
extensibility.
I needed to make some changes to the hash downloader, but it still works
just fine (tried it out on de-DE).
PLEASE can someone remove all of the hash-encoding files from the
abispell module? They've been obsoleted, right along with my bandwidth.
PLEASE can someone (Andrew?) add the proper encodings for marshaleese
and yiddish too? I doubt they use latin1, which is what I have in there
now.
Thanks,
Dom
