These rpms are built against libraries contained in RedHat's GNU/Linux
9 CDs. This means support for GTK+/GNOME 2.2.x and font antialiasing.
There's little likelihood that it may work on older RedHat releases unles=
s
you recompile the source rpm with: rpm --rebuild abiword-1.9.0-1.src.rpm
AND have fairly recent GTK+/GNOME 2.2.x libraries.
Note if using rpm >= 4.1: rpmbuild --rebuild abiword-1.9.0-1.src.rpm
PLUGINS
The plugins are now collected in two packages:
- extra import/export
- extra tools
In future releases, plugins that won't build with default RedHat
packages will be here, but you may need to install 3rd party packages to
run them or to build them.
REQUIRED:
You should just need to grab one and only one of these:
abiword-gtk-1.9.0-1.i386.rpm
abiword-gtk-1.9.0-1.i686.rpm (optimized for i686)
abiword-gnome-1.9.0-1.i386.rpm (gnome support)
abiword-gnome-1.9.0-1.i686.rpm (gnome support, optimized for i686)
But these will give extra flavours to the juice:
abiword-clipart (ooo pictures!)
abiword-plugins-impexp (extra document import/export plugins)
abiword-plugins-tools (extra plugins providing some tools)
abiword-embeddable (I'm not really sure this really works right now..=
