wauw... it is so great. Thanks a lot for your help.. I managed change my abiword interface and play around on it. I used set language in Linux environment using this command LANG=yy-YY and LC_MESSAGES=yy-YY before. It was working. so, thanks one again..-bill

Have you tried Tools->Preferences->Language, "user interface language"?
