And fun little things (that are more fun in gcc2) like -Wall and -Werror
(grep is your friend, of course).
Read the man pages when you have nothing else to do, as poorly
maintained as they are you can often infer a good deal on how to do
things like discipline the compiler with regard to warnings and errors.
