I'm well aware of what this bug hopes to address, and
believe that unfortunately all of your best efforts
will fail without first having adoption at the OS and
    Toolkit levels.

All Abi cares about is xx_YY or xx-YY. But still GTK+
calls setlocale() and friends inside of gtk_init and
if they fail (as they will if your OS doesn't support
a particular locale), then you're ultimately screwed
no matter what we try to do inside of Abi. In which
    case, you'd better learn English...

Ideally you'd be able to get ISO codes for these
languages, or get the Operating Systems of the world
to include support in their libc's et. al. Until that
happens, I fear you are unfortunately destined to fail
miserably. I hope that I am wrong.

    Dom
