    Hi Folks,
            I built a RedHat 8.0 GTK-2.0 binary rpm of 1.1.4 and uploaded it
    to sourceforge. I t works great on my machine. If some other people can
    test it I would appreciate it.

    if this is OK I think we just need to write some release notes then we
    can make a nice big announcement to the world.
