This is most likely IE5's fault. Internet Explorer has issues with CSS, the earlier, the more issues.
I tried finding the site that showed a comparative table on the various browsers, et c; however, when I went to http://www.w3.org , galeon crashed.
That sure will make it hard for some people trying to understand that latest standards when the site that manages them is using them to the point that anyone not caught up on them gets the big screw you.
Well...tits to that, I say. The point stands, MS's attempts to incorporate CSS into IE from 3.0(1)-5.5 were very limited.
