Listen folks,
We've planned to release at or around this date for
quite some time. We've negotiated a joint release
schedule with Gnumeric, GnomeDB, and others. I've
sorted out a potentially large legal mess. I'm not
throwing all that away for warning email messages sent
out after I've done tagging - especially since this
date was so well-known for quite some time by everyone
involved... You can't claim igorance.
The release isn't being delayed. Let me repeat - this
release isn't being delayed again.
We'll do a 2.0.1 in a few weeks if we must. This isn't
out of any disrespect I have for the win32 platform or
our win32 user base, because I harbor none toward it.
This isn't the only win32 bug. In my opinion, this
isn't even the biggest win32 bug we have.
If there are bugs, fix them. We'll have more releases
in the future.
