Please don't put my name or AbiSource, Inc. in that
file.

The wording should be:

"AbiWord's source code is distributed under the terms
of the GNU General Public License, a copy of which is
included in the file called COPYING. You ..."

And hands-off the COPYING file unless you're Martin or
me, please.
