Commit(HEAD): A lot of build fixage

Jeremy I know these may not be optimal or as you intended but until you return with the
long-awaited giant commit that I'm sure is coming, I have to have a working build.

Fixes msvc71 build, fixes msvc71 dist, fixes mingw build, some fixes for mingw dist but still nsis
troubles remain.
Fixes win32native plugin
Fixes...oh, just a lot of fixes.

Oh, and these are NOT to be backported.
