We don't have the choice. We can't implement TextBoxes in RTF, for
example.
Seriously I still think it is a bad idea to not have "native" cut and
paste.
As for the RTF import/export, this is another matter and I think that
the commonness of the format is a sufficient motivation. I'm working on
making the importer better.
