in abi/src/po, where you must have your mg-MG.po file, just do:
./ui-backport.pl mg-MG
It will make the .strings file in the right place. To test, you'll only
need to copy that .strings file where all the other are installed.
In fact .po files are here only for convenience for translator that wish
to use some tools designed for these, like KBabel. AbiWord do not use
them directly.
