Bug Number 8776 - Unusable on FreeBSD/amd64

Hi. I don't mean to bug you guys, but I'm wondering if anyone was
planning on looking into or fixing bug 8776. In a short summary, AbiWord
is completely unusable on FreeBSD/amd64. It crashes on both FreeBSD 5.x
and 6.x (amd64) with the latest version of everything (AbiWord, GTK, OS,
etc).

I _thought_ it somehow got fixed when I did a portupgrade a week or two
ago because it worked one time, but then tonight I worked over an hour
on writing a document and went to "Save As"....and it crashed.

Again, not trying to complain about it or bother you guys. Just
wondering if anyone has any ideas on this since it's been on the bug
tracker for over a year now. Also, I'm more than willing to help test
any proposed fixes.
