Building abiword without X

Hello,

I've been looking into options for converting .doc files to .html
files on a headless system. I figured out how this was possible in
abiword, and it works great. However, I need to be able to run this on
a system that does not have X on it. (nor gtk, gnome, etc) Is it
possible to build abiword without X in a ways that I will still have
access to the conversion functions from the command line?
