AbiWord Portable 2.6 Released by PortableApps.com (Runs from USB drives)

Greetings all,

I'm happy to announce that AbiWord Portable 2.6 has been released. For
the unfamiliar, this package of AbiWord allows you to take your favorite
word processor with you on a removable drive (USB flash drive, iPod,
portable hard drive, memory card, etc) and use it on any Windows PC as
if it were your own. All your settings go along with you. Even your
most recently used files work when your drive gets a new drive letter.

This new release updates AbiWord to the new 2.6 release and features an
improved installer allowing users to install AbiWord as its standard
multilingual setup or as a small English-only setup which takes up only
7.8MB on your device. It also has integrated language support for the
next major release of the PortableApps.com Platform so AbiWord Portable
will automatically launch in the user's preferred language without them
having to set it manually in AbiWord's options.

AbiWord Portable will hit 1 million downloads this month and is included
in the 'Light' version of the PortableApps.com Suite by default. It's
been bundled on the cover CDs of numerous magazines around the world and
will soon be pre-installed on USB flash drives for sale with the
PortableApps.com Platform/Suite.
