Hi Summit,
               I urge you to move your development target to svn
trunk. There are many bug fixes in svn trunk that will not be back
ported to 2.6.x. I believe that sugar will soon move to this as well.

I have just committed a simple script to svn trunk in
pyabiword/examples that shows how multiple abiwidgets can be used in
the same application as well as how these can be deleted. (Just call
the the "destroy()" method).

Here is the example script. I cannot guarantee that this will work for
abiword 2.6.8 or if it will ever work with any 2.6 release.
