Site Redesign Project

Hey y'all-

I was pointed to this list to propose a site redesign for abisource.com.
Yes, I am volunteering myself for this project and do not expect to be
paid. However, this is part of my business and I was wondering if it would
be alright to post the project in my portfolio of work. If not, that's
okay, I'll still do the work. Here is a short rundown of what I would do:

--Do a complete site audit. I will need the help of whoever is in charge of
handling the content of the site. We will decide what content stays, what
content is deleted, and what content needs to be added and/or changed.

--Build a new site from scratch. Personally, I have a harder time editing a
site that is already in place rather than creating a whole new one. The
current Web site will still stay there, I will just be building a new one
on my local server. I build all my sites using the Joomla CMS (perhaps
you've heard of it). This will enable me to concentrate on redesigning the
site and someone else will be able to create the content. Joomla is a great
system, and it is Open Source (as a side note, I believe Linux.com uses
Joomla to power their site).

--Template creation. Joomla uses what's called templates which control the
layout and look of the site. I will create a custom template to use on
abisource.com.

--Extension installation and setup. Extensions would be contact forms,
forums, user management, etc. I will need lots of help on this in the area
of what features the site will have.

That's the basic rundown of how the project would start. I need someone's
okay to start this and some requirements as to what the site should
contain, if it will contain anything different from what it does now.
Consultation is part of my job and I already have some ideas on how to
improve the site.

Just so you know, I run my own personal company called Witty Monkey and you
can view the Web site here: http://wittymonkey.com/

Thanks!
-Tim
