In order of (personal) preference:
(1) Have AbiSource BV administer the tip jar (probably hard, because
they are a for-profit, right?).
(2) Donate to non-profit. Somehow I like the idea of volunteer work
generating donations that in turn go to non-profit. Maybe we could
change the "donate" button to directly link to some non-profit of our
choice and ask users who like AbiWord to send money there.
(3) Spend it on actually really getting some developers together
again, it's been a few years.
