Marc,
I know that he Urmas had taken care of some i18n / L10n functions for
AbiWord. I am not familiar with SVN (or frankly, the full i18n
process for AbiWord), but I would be willing to learn more about it
and offer some assistance with committing submitted PO files as well
as whatever other steps are needed to produce localized builds.
Having watched the modest rate of activity on PO submission for some
time now, I do believe I can fit it into my already busy schedule, but
I would need to work together with more experienced AbiWord committers
before I took it on solo, and frankly, I think it would be best if
multiple people were capable of addressing such commit requests in
order to address the needs of the AbiWord L10n community on a reliable
and timely basis.
I hope that my interactions with the AbiWord community to date have
established some positive "reputation capital" with the L10n
community (e.g. hosting AbiWord PO files on Sugar Labs Pootle) and I
would certainly seek to continue earning their trust and cooperation.
