Current state of the .docx import/export

Hello everyone, I've been testing this feature for GSoC and I have
some questions that I would like to be answered.
What's the current state of compatibility?
I have created various documents using MS Word 2007 and 2010. For both
documents things like bold or cursive text were not working. Can
someone please confirm this?
