I'm journalist and one of my favorite tools is nedit, because it displays size of the file I'm writing in the status area. I think it would be very nice (and useful too!) if your word processor could display the size of the file (or number of characters,including spaces) in the status area. It is really useful thing for us who need to write exact number of characters in the text.
