Subject: Splash screen

I apologize in advance if this is a FAQ, but I searched the web site and
did not see an answer. How does one suppress the splash screen at startup?
This is on Win32 AlphaNT. I am asking as my build of 0.7.7 is crashing when
I double click on a .zabw file (gzipped abw). I can get into the VC debugger,
but the **** splash screen is on top and won't go away. It's kinda hard to
debug...
