The document which explains localization, which was referenced
by Jeff, is a native AbiWord document. If you have the program
running, you should be able to read it. If you're reading it
through LXR, the document will be hard to parse manually (unless
you can read our XML DTD). :)

The document is also in the source code tree, under the abi/docs
directory. If you download a recent source release through CVS
or in a .tar.gz or .zip format, you will have the document to read.
