Internationlization and localization.
I know aspell was having some problems with some languages due to a lack
of suffix compression, or something like that. And, in general, I don't
know if aspell supports as many languages as ispell.

But the real problem, apparently is the use of templates, which would
hinder the portability (not all platforms have good enough compilers to
handle C++ templates, yet).
