AbiWord v2.6.2 Released

AbiWord 2.6 is a multi-platform word processor that combines state-of-the-art usability, powerful features, and excellent interoperability. Furthermore, it features a powerful framework for supporting custom extensions. AbiWord v2.6.2 is the latest stable release, which compared to v2.6.0 contains several bugfixes and enables the experimental collaboration plugin on the Windows platform (we never released v2.6.1 publically).

This release includes the following changes (and more!):

We've enabled the experimental collaboration plugin on the Windows platform. This plugin allows allowing users to collaboratively work on the same document in real-time. The user interface is still a bit rough around the edges, but this will be improved upon in future AbiWord releases.

Make our presentation plugin work.

Fix a bunch of small bugs in our XSL-FO, Applix, LaTeX, WML and HTML import/export filters.

Note: The equation plugin on Windows systems is currently unavailable. If you require equation support in your documents, then please continue using AbiWord 2.4.6. Future AbiWord releases will include equation support again on Windows systems.
